Delta County Library District Board Begins Search for New Director
(Submitted)
The Delta County Library District Board of Trustees has begun a search for a District Library Director. The State of Colorado has mandates as to many of the steps involved in the hiring of a Director. The Board of Trustees has set a timeline to follow in this search. The position has been published on various sites and it available on the Delta County Libraries website. The application deadline is Feb. 1st. The Board of Trustees hope to have a list of four candidates by Feb. 10th conduct interviews Feb. 11th through the 16th. A list of final candidates would be published by Feb. 24th and final in person interviews conducted Feb. 25th and 26th. Target date for selection of the new Director is Mar. 3rd. As is the case when dealing with multiple individuals, these dates may have some changes but the Trustees feel this is a reasonable timeline and hope to make most of these goals.
Corrections to the January issue: LaDonna Gunn, who previously worked for the District from 2007 to 2012 under Annette Choszcyk, has been hired to be the District’s North Fork regional coordinator, not as a replacement for Choszcyk as I erroneously reported. According to Library Board member Katie Gnauck, Choszcyk’s vacant position is yet to be filled and the job search had only just begun as of early January.
